From pastor to farmer to small business owner to financial advising I understand change and all the ups and downs that come with it. Jazz music and trumpet playing fill my weekends while my weekdays are spent with my clients. Whether it is maintaining my own honey business or helping others reach their financial goals I understand the hard work and effort it takes to reap the benefits.
Currently, I reside on my ranch with my wife, Jennifer, and my three children, Caleb, Jacob, and Chloe. I enjoy cycling, music, discipleship training, gardening, and technology.

I was born in Miami, lived my formative years in Atlanta, and moved with my family to Dallas in 2004. I attended A&M University and in 2010 I interned at Northwestern Mutual. It didn’t take long to realize that I discovered my career and I never looked back.
Currently, I reside in Carrollton with my wife, Bethany, my son, Clay, my daughter, Mia, and my two dogs Bella and Leo. I am passionate about expanding into the Hispanic market and I embrace my Spanish Heritage by maintaining my fluency in Spanish & English. I also visit Miami frequently to stay in touch with close family and clients.
You will often find me plugged into an audiobook or looking for plane tickets to Hawaii where we have made a second home. If I’m not working, then I am trying to catch every moment with friends and family.

Personal
Before I joined Northwestern Mutual as a financial advisor, I served for three years as the Head of Fundraising for my alma maters' rowing team at UC Berkeley. Spending countless morning hours on the Oakland Estuary, winning two national collegiate and two international collegiate championships has cemented the Cal rowing team forever in my heart. I remain an active supporter to this day.
My wife Rachel and I met at Berkeley where she was also a collegiate athlete, winning multiple national championships in swimming and previous to that, an Olympic gold medal in the 2012 Olympics. Today we enjoy our free time with our sons, Shepherd and Beckham, and our Goldendoodle, Lucy, at Cedar Creek Lake, family get togethers in Minnesota, or cheering on the Jesuit rowing team at White Rock Lake.
Matt's professional career includes a 25-year career in the military before joining Northwestern Mutual. In the military, Matt led Soldiers in operational and combat deployments. Personal
Before joining the Round Table Associates Team, I spent almost 25 years in the Army. There were many things I learned and experienced during that period that shaped who I am today, one of which was meeting my wife, Maribel, who gave me our son, Martin.
Today, my family and I like to escape to the Northwoods of Wisconsin several times a year where my son, Martin, loves camping and fishing. In my community, I volunteer with the local Cub Scout Pack, our local church, and several Veteran organizations. We also have a standard Poodle that demands a bit too much attention - at least more than Maribel's liking. Little known secret: you might spot me in the Netflix show "House of Cards", keep your eyes peeled!
I got my start with Northwestern Mutual as I wrapped up my B.S. from the University of Texas at Dallas. These days, I call McKinney home. Nothing is more fun that spending time with my Beautiful wife, Bela, and our two incredible dogs, we're also excited to say we have a little girl on the way. My Cuban heritage is a big part of who I am, shaping not just my background but also my outlook on life and work ethic.
When I'm not crunching numbers or diving into financial plans, you can usually find me out at the range on our family ranch, soaking up knowledge from the latest audiobook, or faithfully tagging along for my wife's latest home renovation idea. I've also got a soft spot for animals, so I'm often taking in new family members to care for, our most recent addition being two parakeets.
In my professional life, I've found my niche working with business owners, attorneys, and physicians, helping them navigate the financial landscape with confidence. Over the past few years, I've had the honor of receiving the leading advisor award for my tenure. I want to build on this success— my goal is to keep growing and expanding, especially in the Hispanic market, where I can serve my community in meaningful ways.
One of my biggest goals is to buy some land where I can continue to raise my army of kids and animals, and I have been lucky enough to find a career where I solely focus on helping others achieve those dreams too. Let's work together to make them a reality!
